Caution: Here’s How Too Much Exposure To Phone Affects Your Cells.

Phones are very important nowadays. In fact, it has become a necessity that most of us can’t let go of especially that most of our transactions are done through calls and text messages. Whether you are meeting an old friend or lending some instructions, your phone could actually help you in doing so even in the disparity of distance.

Undeniably, mobile phones have been very useful especially now that there are applications which we could use to whatever we need. But you must have heard too that there are certain effects a prolonged exposure to mobile phones could do to your body.

The radiation from phones could be minimal, however, the radio waves emitted are said to change the cell behavior particularly affecting the biological tissues or break the chemical bonds in the cell.

According to research, 10 female volunteers who participated in the study were exposed to radiation at 900 megahertz from phones simulating an hour-long phone call. As studied, they also screened 880 different proteins in their skin cells and found out that the numbers of two proteins were altered in all of the volunteers. According to the findings, one protein increased by 89 percent and the other decreased by 32 percent. It was concluded that even without heating, molecular level changes in response to exposure to cell phone frequency electromagnetic radiation.

The Ill Effects

Although numerous studies claim that there is no biological impact of RF radiation within the cell phone range, there are more research and researchers finding equally disturbing results that note far greater health implications which may have come unexpected.

The following illnesses and ailments have all been scientifically linked to the use pf phones and other information-carrying radio waves:

  • Alzheimer’s, senilityand dementia
  • Parkinson’s
  • Autism
  • Fatigue
  • Headaches
  • Sleep disruptions
  • Altered memory function, poor concentration and spatial awareness

The June 2003 issue of Environmental Health Perspectives showed the waves emitted by particular mobile phones could damage the neurons as tested in the brains of rats.

According to articles.mercola.com, the study used 12- to 26-week-old rats in this study because their developmental age is comparable to that of human teenagers, who are some of the heaviest users of mobile phones. The author reportedly said that the situation of the growing brain might deserve special concern, especially that biological and maturational processes are particularly vulnerable. The author noted that we cannot exclude that after some decades of often daily use, a whole generation of users may suffer negative effects as early as middle age.

Safety Tips to Limit Your Exposure

To date, there are few alternatives to ensure complete safety, but there are some common sense recommendations:

  • Limit the amount of time you spend on the phone.
  • Limit your exposure to WiFi routers. Find out where they are located in your work environment and stay away from them.
  • If you have any land-based (non-cellular) portable phones, do NOT use anything other than the 900 MHz phones as the Gigahertz phones stay on continuously, blasting you with information-carrying radio waves 24/7.
  • Use the speakerphone instead of putting the phone to your ear; this is probably one of the single most important steps you can take other than not using your cell phone.
  • Use a wired headset to limit your exposure to the cell phone — ideally, an air-tube headset that conducts sound but prevents any radiation from traveling up the wire to your brain. Also make sure the wire is SHIELDED, which prevents the wire from acting as an antenna that could attract more information-carrying radio waves directly to your brain.
  • Limit calls inside buildings.
  • Use the phone in open spaces as often as possible.
  • Limit use by children and preadolescents.

Thank you so much for dropping by. Have a nice day ahead.
