The Philippines’ Professional Regulation Commission’s website looks like it copied the login page design of Facebook.
In an article written by John Nieves in the tech website Unbox.ph, it clearly shows how the management of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) just came out to copy the design of the world-famous Facebook’s login page. Compare the screenshots of the two websites below.

One can really say that they are really identical. Just basing on the colors, placement of the text boxes, and others, it really seems to be as a replica.
According to Unbox, which expresses its dismay on what happened,
“Designing a website is hard. Any kind of work that entails creativity is a total drag sometimes, so there’s a big chance that some designers want to take shortcuts and liberally lift designs from other websites and incorporate it into their own.”
The article also calls the attention of the management Professional Regulation Commission and the developers of the Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS v2) website to take action regarding this thing.
Another statement given on the article in Unbox which says, “Come on PRC. Don’t be lazy – find a good designer and pay them to make an original design.”
After the article was posted by Unbox.ph, the PRC seemed to have “listened” to the call by changing the color of their site’s login page into a bright orange but, the design is still as is.

But now, as of writing, the PRC’s Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS v2) website’s login page seemed to be really different from the previous one that made the noise.

What is the Professional Regulation Commission?
According the official website of the government agency,
“The Professional Regulation Commission is responsible for the administration, implementation and enforcement of regulatory policies on the regulation and licensing of various professions and occupations under its jurisdiction. It is the instrument of the Filipino people in securing for the nation a reliable, trustworthy, and progressive system of developing professionals whose personal integrity and spiritual values are solid and respected, whose competencies are globally competitive, and whose commitment to serve the Filipino nation and the whole community is strong and steadfast.”
It’s really a great thing to be reporting such things to avoid worse situations. Government agencies and even private sectors must be sensitive doing such actions.
