Tired Of Your Hard-To-Clean Pans? Here’s How To Season A Stainless Pan To Create A Non-Stick Surface.

Whether you usually stay on the kitchen or you just drop by sometimes to cook, you could relate to the struggle especially in cleaning the pans which still has curds sticking to its surface. Cooking on stainless pans could be gratifying but cleaning it after could be frustrating.

The bottom line of having a struggle in cleaning pans falls back to how you cooked on your pans. But perhaps you would love the idea of cooking something on a stainless steel pan without having something stick all over the surface.

We could definitely help you out with that. You can actually season a stainless steel pan in the natural way so that it would be non-sticky. In just a couple of minutes, you could achieve it and eventually have a better cleaning time the next time. Such a little effort, your pan will no longer stick.

Here are the simple steps to create a naturally occurring nonstick stainless steel pan:

  1. Heat your pan for 2-3 minutes on medium to medium high heat.
  2. High heat oil would be beneficial particularly the coconut oil, melt a little of that into your pan and swirl the oil around to evenly coat the pan.
  3. Allow the oil to smoke (don’t worry, we will be tossing this oil out)!  Once the oil has smoked, turn off your burner and remove pan from heat source and allow to cool completely.
  4. Your pan is seasoned and ready if you can see your mirror reflection of yourself in the pan.
  5. Once the pan has cooled, pour out the oil and wipe the pan out with a paper towel. You now have a seasoned nonstick stainless steel pan.

As long as you don’t use soap on your pan in cleaning it, your pan will remain nonstick.  If you do so, you can repeat the process. If you are using higher heat, you might need to add a little bit of oil. That is it!  So easy and no mess!  Give it a try, you will be amazed!

But always remember also that steel pans vary in quality. In buying your pans, it is advised that you consider the quality to make sure you prepare your meals in goodness.
