During the strong magnitude earthquake in Japan, this building was taken footage as it resisted the land shakes. What seem to be incredible is that the building only swayed during the strong quake.
A more than eight magnitude of earthquake could already ruin some skyscrapers especially those which are made traditionally.
But this building showed no falling debris when the strong magnitude earthquake stroked. The shake proof system allowed the building to resist the further damage by just swaying into the jolts.
It looks really scary and it must have been a nightmare to be in this building, but when we got this kind of shake proof system in our infrastructures, it could save a lot more of lives and properties.
