This Is What That Extra Shoelace Hole Is Used For Which You’d Wish You Knew Earlier

Don’t get me wrong, but before you’re going to read this any further, I want you to get your shoes (preferably running shoes) on one of your drawers in your room. Now, if you have your shoes on your hand, examine it.

Are you seeing an extra shoelace hole at the top of your shoe? Do you have any idea where to use that hole? Many of us, even athletes, are using our shoes for jogging exercise, running, and hiking but not all of us are using that extra shoelace hole for tying. In this video, you’ll be able to know why they are there and how we’re going to use them at our advantage.

Uh-oh. So, that’s what it is used for! Tying this extra shoelace hole is called the ‘lace lock’ or ‘heel lock’ which is very useful to prevent blisters on your heels and stop your feet from cramming forward into the front of the shoe. This keeps the ankle and heel area nice and tight, without having to tighten your whole shoe. It also helps to prevent black toenails by keeping your heel and your toes from smashing into the front of your shoe. Now, you’re smartest among your friends for knowing this and there’s no room for shoe blisters!
