Biologist Caught 70-year-old Lobster Weighing More Than 11 Pounds

According to a study, 95 percent of ocean remains to be unexplored. Although ocean is a vital source of food, commerce growth and transportation, a large part of it was not yet explored by human beings. Therefore, the water animals that were discovered from the past up to present are still few. It’s no doubt that there will come time that we will see a marine animal which will appear unusual to our eyes.

Biologists Forrest Galante was free-diving near Anacapa Island when he found a huge 70-year-old lobster, weighing eleven and a half pounds. The size of lobster is common decades ago but because of over fishing and ocean conditions, it can be rarely seen now. The 26-year-old biologists have been diving for 10 years but it was his first time to catch this creature. He even named the lobster asĀ Albert Girther.

Forrest Galante was thinking of eating this giant lobster, but he soon decided to let him live. He took the giant lobster to a marine reserve off the Californian coast and released it.
