One basis of love most people believe into is sacrifice. EVERY thing we have in life is a gift given by Him, and when your best isn’t enough, sacrificing one of those gifts is one great option one chose to do.
Sacrificing may be easy to think of, but dealing and doing it is the hardest for it means to end up happiness and even life. Those who love purely aren’t afraid to give up their value and sacrifice. One of them is this mother’s son named Chen Xiaotian.
Like we always suspect, Chen Xiaotian is an ordinary kid, but we’re dead wrong. He got no ordinary and fun life when he was 5 years of age and he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It would abruptly lose his life as he expected but something another tragic happened.
Chen’s mother, Zhou Lu was diagnosed with kidney disease. For almost two years, both of them battled their terrible sickness. They were hand in hand fighting over it, not until Chen loses his sight and he became paralyzed.
What more sad is his mother was told that she would never live a normal life again because of her kidney condition.
Despite of it all, they remain strong but Chen’s doctors said that he got only short time here on Earth, and they’re pretty sure that Chen’s kidney would be a perfect match for his mother.
It would mean losing his son, so his mother Zhou refused it. Who would not to? :'(
But when Chen knew the idea, he begged and pleaded his mother to take his kidney. And as Chen’s tumor grew and he became even more ill, he asked his mother to just let him go. Chen had the hope that if he died he could help save his mother life.
Zhou knew how much her son loves her, so with tears in her eyes and with a heavy heart, she finally agreed, because she knew that one consolation she can have was knowing that a part of her son would live in her forever.
Chen’s kidney was given to his mother and he passed away on April 22nd. His sacrifice not only saved the life of his mother, but also the lives of two others with the donations of his organs.
”The medical team held a brief moment of prayer and silence for the poor child before the transplant, I think it’s fair to say there were very few dry eyes,” the hospital’s spokesman Yi Tai said.
Zhou was left by his son physically but she always knew that his love and concern to her is undying and that will be always remembered by his mother.. no matter where life take her.
