In every country, there’s a President. In every town, there’s a mayor. There are always the one’s who leads a certain place. They are the ones who are in charged to take care of a certain place, to run a certain place to be specific. They have the authorities to decide on doing certain decisions that could best benefit their place. Most of the time, they come to office because they were elected.
But then, there’s a certain place who elects a dog as their mayor. This specific place is in the small town of Cormorant, Minnesota. This small town had 12 residents. The dog is named Duke.
He was elected last Thursday, August 7, 2014. The election lasted for 5 weeks. All the residents are free to vote whoever they want. Then, later it had come to a landslide vote for 7 year old, Duke.
The said election is somewhat a fund raising event costing each vote as $1. The new elected mayor will be on his office by Sunday.

The salary of the dog will be given through a year supply of kibble from a local pet store.
