In the late centuries, as what we have seen in movies, proud galleons and ships would harbor through the sea carrying thousands of people and loads. For pirate ships, it is believed by many to have carried numerous treasures. Along with the written histories, there were many ships which sunk somewhere in the depths of the waters.

Those mighty ships and buccaneers have left traces which can be found in museums. However, there are a lot more ships somewhere in the bodies of water which remained still and somewhat undiscovered.

The tales could tell of the years of the great ships as some of them were found still and silently resting in the depths. There were ships which bodies are abode to trees and grasses and even some species. There are which broken fragments remained keep safe in its body’s surroundings.

There are ships which forgotten over the years in the shores, perhaps still waiting for its captain to return. And there are which were abandoned and long forgotten.

Resting peacefully in this shallow, the ‘Flying Dutchman’ has become popular after the sailor abandoned it. The wind reportedly carried the ship back out into the open sea. And while the people struggled to stop the ship, it eventually rushed through the waves until it ran aground.

There was this island in the Bermuda which houses a lot of shipwrecks. The ship graveyard adds support to the mystery of the famous Bermuda Triangle which remains an unwanted place until today.

During winter, the ship becomes a stunning and ghostly picture as it is icebound. Becoming a local landmark, the ship lies silently and abandoned in the Lake Ontario.
