This Sand ‘River’ In Saudi Arabia Has Baffled Social Media Of What Seems Bizarre. Weird.

A video which was uploaded recently has been making rounds online prompting media users who happened to watch it to ask what it could be and what causes it. It appears to show a river in the middle of the dessert.

But there is more to this supposed river than meets the eye. Apparently, it was not a river of water at all. It seems consisting almost entirely of sand rushing.

The video was reportedly taken in Saudi Arabia’s Empty Quarter, known to have the largest contiguous sand desert in the world. An onlooker can also be seen in the footage extending his hand and coming up with a handful of sand.

Whatever is behind this natural phenomenon, this one is surely not a thing to underestimate.
