That ghost-like creature you’ve seen a while ago is a snailfish called Pseudoliparis amblystomopsis that can survive at depths of about 25,300 feet. It was discovered by University of Hawaii marine scientists Jeff Drazen and Patty Fryer swimming at a depth of 26,716 feet (8,143 meters) in the Mariana Trench.
