Tsunamis are scary if it occurs in large bodies of water. But how about ice tsunamis? Well, it may sound more scary but in reality, it’s more of a weird thing. But if you are asking if it’s really happening, the answer would be “yes.”

Ice shove is often called by the witnesses as “ice tsunamis” but the phenomenon does not have a great impact like tsunamis. Jim Morgenstern, who lives on the coast of Lake Winnebago, caught the so-called “ice tsunamis” in action. He saw the current of water pushing up piles of ice onto their backyard. Watch the footage he captured below.

Ice shove may not be as scary as real tsunamis but if it continues to go long, Jim Morgenstern might be urged to replace the trees or worst if he needed to evacuate from his house. But it’s good thing that it did not turned out to be destructive.
