Last November, a strong snowstorm struck western New York, and one of the cities which was largely affected is Hamburg. During a snowstorm, one man from Hamburg, who needed to get a dialysis treatment, got stuck in his house. But the kindness of his neighbors saved his life.
During that time , the 67-year-old Jim Nugent, who had a kidney failure, had already missed four dialysis treatments because he could not make it due to snowstorm. His body has weakened so his concerned neighbors came to rescue him. People from Hamburg street brought shovels and clean the path from his home and brought him to Southtowns Dialysis center.
This is truly an inspiring story of kindness. Although Jim Nugent’s neighbors were also affected by snowstorm, they did not hesitate to help and unite for one cause. Jim Nugent said that he will never forget what his neighbors have done to save his life.
