This Giant Crack Was Seen In Mexico. You’ll Never Guess How Long It Is Until You See This Video… WHOW!

There are certain naturally occurring events that we don’t seem to really understand how they happened. These bizarre works of nature are commonly known as natural phenomena. They can really look marvelous, but at times, they can be also dangerous.

A video has emerged showing an aerial footage of a giant crack which stretches for over one kilometer splitting the earth open in a rural town of Hermosillo in northwestern Mexican state Sonora. Geologist are still investigating what have caused the phenomenon – some believes that the 8-meter deep and 5-meter wide fissure cracked open after heavy rains caused underground subsidence, while others thought it may have been due to an earthquake that earlier struck the region.

Watch the following drone video and see the actual view of the place.

The geological formation which damaged the main highway forced local residents (farmers and vehicles) to take long detours around the trench. Though there are some areas that are much shallower and with very small collapsed earth, it’s still not safe to drive your car over it, not unless further geological instability is ruled out.

These enormous crack is really baffling and I just couldn’t imagine how much trouble it had caused to the people traveling that route.
