Paul George Did ‘Break A Leg’ During A Match. Watching This Will Make You Sick To Your Stomach!

Basketball is a physical sport. Though it may not always happen, injuries and accidents are irrefutable part of the game. And now that 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain is nearing, national teams are on the rush and are at the peak of their intense training.

On Friday night, the Team USA had their intrasquad practice match at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ Thomas & Mack Center. They were 27 seconds into the fourth quarter of the game when something horrifyingly gruesome happened – Paul George was injured.

The following is the video of the injury and we warn you – it’s not for the faint-hearted (extremely graphic):

The Indiana Pacers small forward was trying to block James Harden’s layup, his right foot landed and bucked at the base of the backboard stanchion, which as it appeared, caused his leg to quickly snap somewhere above his ankle. Their coach, Mike Krzyzewski, then called the game out in respect to Paul and his family who were also in the arena.

According to reports, Paul was taken to Las Vegas hospital and underwent surgery. He suffered a compound fracture and is expected to stay at the hospital for two to three days.

Let’s just hope for the good and continue to pray for Paul George’s fast recovery.
