It is always believed that ‘seeing is believing’, however, sometimes, our eyes itself fools us, making us believe what we see is true, yet in reality, it’s not. If we’re only too keen to notice, there are so many things around that seem real yet always end up tricking us.
It’s not because we’re kind of simpleton not to be aware of, but because of the unusual traits it has. One perfect instance we can relate is the three-dimensional art where when viewed in some perspective, a certain artwork appears to be real and moving, but when it is closely look and observe, it’s an unbelievable product of art.
Some artists all over the world concentrate in this kind of artwork, but there are just some who are truly known for their uniqueness because of their precise objective in creating their masterpiece.
One of them is a Swiss artist Felice Varini, who is popularly known for his perspective-localized paintings with designs that are so mind-bending. Varini works on the so-called ‘anamorphosis’ (Greek prefix “ana-” meaning back or again, and “morphe” meaning shape or form) wherein he uses the variety of geometry through shapes and forms, creating a skillfully-arrayed 3D images which really looks real when it’s looked in distant.
