These group of people climbing and pushing each other definitely mesmerized and truly catch my attention as hundreds of men, women and children participated in the celebration of Concurs de Castells at the city of Tarragona in Catalonia, Spain which occurs every two years.
As hundreds of people get involved with the so-called “human tower competition,” there are around 32 teams cooperated who obviously enjoyed the said rare event.
Contestants who took part with the human tower competition should balance their bodies well in-order to form about six to ten humans high, which included in the game’s criteria.
On the other hand, in-order to make the human tower spectacular, strongest men are located at the bottom forming a stable base while women and children are the one who climb up at the top.
To give signal with the judges that respective groups are already done forming its superb human tower, the child who scales the bodies to the tower’s peak must raise her/his fingers as a symbol of the Catalan flag.
Meanwhile, to highlight the event, Spanish photographer David Oliete dramatically and gorgeously captured this exhilarating festival in all its chaotic glory.
