We all wanted to feel close and get belong. Despite of the many differences we have on each other, we’re still the same when it comes to emotions. But sometimes, judgmental eyes are the reason why some of us can’t touch those we love and are keep at distance. The same story goes with special children around the world; no matter how they cope up with the different world around them, they can’t depart themselves from the pain of discrimination.
Meet the mascot below, he’s likely an ordinary mascot trying to entertain the people around him, but he have his main purpose in mind.
At first, people around him are busy walking and doesn’t seem to care about him..
Until he widely open his arms, asking for a hug..
Then suddenly, he have it..
More have open their arms for him..
Different races.. different sexes..
Of different ages..
They all hugged him..
But when he took of his costume, I clearly understand why he needs to wear it.
He is a special needs person who was helped by a Swiss organization Pro Infirmis that helps people with disabilities. He’s all part of the experiment. A very inspiring experiment served to enlighten us.
That whatever may be the color of our skin, social class, education and appearance, we’re all but one race; the same blood of God flows within us. We’re His sons and daughters and our only task is to love one another unconditionally. 🙂
