There’s nothing more painful than losing someone you loved the most; may it be a pet, a colleague, a friend, a lover, or a family member. Being sadden, distressed and wounded are the same feelings exactly happen to people being left out. It’s inevitable and perfectly natural to feel that way, but Lisa Freeman has her different way dealing with her loss.
Lisa tragically lost her own son, Matthew Freeman, to enemy fire in Afghanistan in 2009, and most preferably, when a certain mother undergone such upsetting situation, she would really felt bad about it. But the war change Lisa in the way she never thought of.
Out of her son’s uniform, she made these bear soldiers…
Some of which are made from the uniforms of deceased service members..
She named this project ‘Matthew Bears’ which teddy bears made are out of the cloth of the uniforms of lost servicemen and women.
When you lost someone in service, you can send their uniform and Lisa will make it into teddy bears for you.
