A tattoo, which deeply known as skin pigmentation, inevitably, is widely engaged by most people around the world for not so common reasons: some would be because of tradition, for cosmetics, for fun, to get attention (like Histrionic Personality Disorder), or somehow fitting into the society they in. Well, whatever the reason is, judging them is very common to all of us.
Without even thinking why they do it, we tend to think that they’re ‘freak’, ‘weird’, ‘mad’, or even ‘crazy.’ But on the contrary, those people wearing that ‘badge-like’, have something to share to the world; but since they’re just too silent about it, a tattoo is one of their many ways to express themselves.
Photographer Spencer Kovats gave them a chance to speak their message and an opportunity to show off their undercover ink in a photo endeavor called ‘Uncovered.’
According to the report from the Huffington, Kovats juxtaposes the two aspects of each subject, covered and exposed, in a side-by-side series of portraits. As expected, the expression changes as their clothing is removed, as if a protective shell has been shed.
In summary, they barely expressed themselves naturally!
