There are many people who are gifted with talents in painting. But when these precious gifts are used with a noble purpose, they produce amazing results.
Just like this no ordinary artist, Zaria Forman, who creates breathtaking pastel drawings of Greenland’s icebergs in hope to raise awareness on climate change and share a percent of all sales to the movement 350.org.
And the most impressive part is… she paints with her FINGERS.
Zaria’s art passion was inspired by her mother’s dream for a voyage, but unfortunately didn’t live to see it through.
Her drawings look so realistic that you might feel the frost coming out of them and think that they are simply photographs rather than laborious works of art.
She has created a series of hyper realistic finger paintings which look just like choppy seas…
Lifelike pictures of sea spray on the shore…
And spectacular portraits of icebergs.
Zaria’s works can take up to a month to complete and she has created these landscapes to chronicle the ever-changing beauty of the regions affected by climate change. She has also led an Arctic expedition to the north west coast of Greenland with the sole purpose of creating art works inspired by the dramatic geography.
Share this to others and help Zaria carry out her noble mission!
