44-year-old IT Director at a Swiss university with a passion for photography and digital art John Wilhelm, impart his skills and knowledge in his creative way of photo manipulations, cooperated by his gorgeous girlfriend Judith and three adorable daughters named Lou 5-year-old, Mila 2-year-old, and Yuna 6 months.
Though it’s hard to deal with children in terms of photography, John Wilhelm manage to do his surreal and electric photographs with his kids, as he said in an interview “I guess if you have a healthy emotional connection to your kids they can feel if something is really important for you and then they cooperate (and if they don’t there are still sweets and candies).”
With John Wilhelm’s manipulation techniques, he revealed that most of his images are heavily manipulated but he do emphasized that not all of them are compositions. Furthermore he added, if an image works straight out of the camera I just improve it (beauty retouching, cleanup, level corrections, sharpening, colors and tones, emphasize light, etc.
John Wilhelm is definitely a brilliant artist, as he loves to bring different images together creating something new, that can surely mesmerize the viewers and aspiring photographers.
