When you think of modifying your car, you start to reckon on things like carbon fiber, aluminum, steel sheet, and fiber glass. But this man from Lithuania opted to build his dream car with the help of expandable foam. Wonder how possible it would be? Here’s how he does it:
He starts by acquiring an old vehicle; and for this project, he got Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class which looks like any regular junkyard cars.
Then he gets down to applying some expanding foam.
Once done applying the expanding foam, carving the masterpiece begins.
And this is how it would look after the sculpting.
Then he goes ahead to smoothing and detailing everything with the use of old cardboard to stencil.
At this point, this is how it looks. Almost halfway to the finish line.
Next, he meticulously works with the curves.
The exterior design.
He’s now mixing the product…
… and works on the interior design.
The finished interior.
And now, his dream car made from an empty shell of a junkyard car.
Though we may have missed some steps along the way so as to truly understand its evolution, the fact that this beautiful thing was once a scrap, what it’s turned out to be is somewhat impressive.
It’s really amazing to know that there are people so clever enough to be able to come up with such brilliant idea. I don’t know how durable the expanding foam is but I hope that it would work when it’s running down the highway.
Please share this and let others be inspired to create something like this to their cars.
