Someone must have informed the local animal authorities that a deer was trapped in the canal, unable to make it through land, it kept on swimming. The concrete sides of the canal make it hard for the deer to scale because it was too slippery.
When the animal authorities responded, they realized that the deer must have been tired swimming in the canal not knowing how long it had been swimming.
And before the authorities could respond, they found these two coy boys who happened to be in the scene. They too helped in rescuing the deer.
Amazingly, they were able to catch on video how they extracted the deer and eventually released it on dry land.
