“Heneral Luna” Is Philippines’ Official Entry For The Oscars 2016, ‘Best Foreign Language Film Category’ – This Is Something To Look Forward To

The Philippine filmmakers will again make a buzz in the international scene with a new entry for the Oscars 2016. The film, “Heneral Luna” (General Luna) have been selected to be the country’s entry for the “Best Foreign Language Film Category” in the prestigious award-giving body. The film was written and directed by Jerrold Tarog.

The story is about the revolution during the American times where Gen. Antonio Luna was known to be one of the Philippine Heroes that fought for the freedom of our country. But, as he said, “There is an enemy bigger than the Americans, it’s ourselves.” That speaks about how the General had been traitored by his fellowmen.
