In this recipe, you don’t need to use an oven to bake your cake but rather a microwave, and this only needs a few ingredients that most novice bakers have, plus caramel. Everything is so easy with this easy recipe!

Ingredients: (makes 2 lava cakes in small ramekins)
4 tablespoons of self raising flour (if you only have plain flour, add a pinch of baking powder to it)
3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
4 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tablespoon of canola or vegetable oil
1 teaspoon of vanilla
3 tablespoons of milk
caramel (I used a tinned caramel for this recipe)
30 seconds in a 1000 watt microwave in small ramekins. Cooking time will vary depending on wattage and size of ramekins.
