Heartbreaking Moment: Blind Man Was Able To See His Wife For The First Time In 10 Years

What is it really feel like if you got no vision? I bet that would be depressing for not being able to see the people you love around you and the beauty of the world you are in. That’s a sad reality blind people are suffering but thanks to scientists all around the world for giving them a chance to restore their sight.

Recently, a bionic eye implant was received by a blind man Allen Zderad who was affected by a degenerative condition known as retinitis pigmentosa, performed by an ophthalmologist from the Mayo Clinic Dr. Raymond Iezzi Jr. Now, Allen was able to see objects and people again, including his wife and family, for the first time in a decade. Dr. Raymond Iezzi Jr. said that Zderad was truly a remarkable man for dealing his visual disability. “To be able to have offered him the retinal prosthesis to enhance what he can already do was a great honor for me”, Dr. Iezzi said. The happiness in the clinic overflowed with Allen finally saw his wife. He will now be able to see his family again, including his 10 grandchildren and his wife, Carmen.

And when he was asked how does he distinguish her wife after not seeing her for a decade? “It’s easy,” says Zderad, “she’s the most beautiful one in the room”, he said.
