Everyday is a new beginning and a new opportunity to accomplish something, but there are times when everything just don’t seem to go as planned. Just like these guys who were in a mission to rescue a mama dog and her six puppies but ended up saving 15 dogs in 15 minutes.
Animal shelters in the U.S. had since been getting overcrowded and more often than not, entire families of dog (including little pups) are forced to be given lethal injection. People who just simply dump their dogs (even pregnant females) to avoid paying the fee to surrender their pets are just making this pitiful condition get worse.
One day, one shelter volunteer contacted Bill Foundation about a mother Rottweiler who had just given birth to six puppies. The foundation planned to rescue these dogs from being put to sleep however, something else happened while they were on their way to the location. They saw an abandoned dog outside the shelter, decided to take her home and named her “Cassidy”.
But the series of unexpected events didn’t stop there. Once they were inside, they realized that there’s another family – a terrier and her six three-day old babies – that needed their help. Their plan of saving six puppies and their mother ended up into a rescue of 15 dogs within 15 minutes.
It’s just so heartwarming to see the dedication of these volunteers in saving the lives of our canine friends, but what touched me most is how they kept their promise to Willow (the terrier) and her family.
