It’s not all the time that we are able to accomplish things on our own. Sometimes, we just need a little help from others. Just like this little guy who probably have eaten too much and was caught in a situation where there’s nothing else to do but wait for someone to help.
A video was uploaded to YouTube by user PsihAL which shows two Russian helping out a prairie dog that was stuck in its hole. The couple was driving along the main road on Olkhon Island in Russia when they noticed something in the middle of the road that needed their help.
When they stepped out of their vehicle, they saw that a ground squirrel was stuck in a hole in the middle of the road, helplessly trying to free itself. Thankfully, this couple was there and quickly rush to the rodent’s rescue.
It’s unclear how this little critter got itself stuck in the burrow. Maybe the prairie dog was just too fat and the opening of the hole is not big enough or as Mashable theorizes, a passing vehicle might have collapsed its home.
Whatever the reason is, the adorable prairie dog was given the chance to live (and eat) another day – thanks to these good Samaritans.
