When it comes to the food we eat, we always want whats best, fresh, tasty and of course, healthy. So when we go shopping for a steak at you local store, you probably won’t expect to have a secret because meats are usually wrapped in a clear plastic. But, this video will surely have you thinking twice.

Meat industry had this dirty little secret hidden in every whole cut meats. But is the meat you just bought really a prime cut or it’s just scraps of meat bond together by a special product known as “meat glue”?

Meat glue is a white powder (transglutaminase) sold by the kilo and used to hold chunks of beef and turn it into a single piece of steak. This video below explains how this works.

It might be easier to tell whether your meat is real or just glued when its uncooked, but if it’s cooked, it’s really difficult to determine. It’s not just beef that is being glued together to make it look like a solid piece of meat – even chicken, pork, lamb and fish are all stuck back together using this glue.
