Acts of war and terrorism seem to be happening everywhere in the world – firebombing, hijacking, diplomatic kidnapping, assassination and many other inhumane deeds. One of the most severe armed conflicts on earth is the three-year-long civil war in Syria and the innocent people living in this war zone are suffering the overwhelming violence.
A few months ago, an unverified video of a two-year-old girl (identified as Ghina Bassam) being pulled off alive from the rubble was uploaded to YouTube. The footage shows a group of men desperately digging up the debris of a building ruined by an airstrike in the ravaged town of Aleppo, Syria. They were fervently removing piles of stones and concrete blocks while scraping the sand with their bare hands in hope to find any signs of life. They kept digging up until they found the toddler.

The baby, who is all covered with dust, at first seemed to be lifeless. But then, she was seen rubbing her eyes. She was miraculously alive and was successfully pulled out from the ruins of their house. The rescuers were so happy, they burst out with loud cheers.
