It’s natural for us humans to feel concerned about others and feel the drive to share what we have. But a dog, sharing with other animals? It’s kind of rare.
The following video tells the beautiful story of Lilica – an an amazing dog who was abandoned as puppy at a junkyard in São Carlos, Brazil. There, she found her home along with other dogs, cats and chickens. As years passed, the members of the family increased when Lilica got pregnant and had 8 puppies. She was faced with greater responsibilities, but with little to eat. This is when her incredible journey started.
Every night, Lilica walked for miles along the risky road in search for food. She traveled close to a teacher’s home who is also an animal lover. Teacher Lucia became committed to bring Lilica a bag of food every night. She would first take some for herself then carry the bag of food on her journey back home. She carried the bag and risked her life crossing the highways, all to feed her friends.

“We as human beings barely share things with other. But an animal sharing things with other animals is a lesson, a lesson for us,” Mrs. Neire said.
