It’s always surprising to see rare natural occurrences such as the “supermoon”.
Technically known as ‘perigee moon’, this rare phenomenon happens when the moon is 30,000 miles closer to Earth than it is at the farthest point of its orbit making it appear larger and brighter than usual. On Saturday night, people across the world cast their eyes to the heavens to witness a spectacular scientific phenomenon as the “supermoon” lit up the sky while others couldn’t resist to snap some pictures of it.
