These Men Do Bodybuilding.. Not To Join Any Sports Or To Be Models.. But To Become.. Bouncers?! Strange!

There’s no man around you who would not want to have that ‘six-packed abs’ and toned muscles. For those Adam, having muscles makes them sexy and attractive for women (except fro me because I don’t like it), so they would do a lot of risks just to build their bodies- exercise and a lot of time in gymnasium will do.

It’s been known for most of us that most men who do bodybuilding or known to have great ‘bodies’ leads to modeling, and might joined the Olympics. But for men in Gurgaon, a wealthy suburb of New Delhi, India, to build their body have such specific purpose- to be wrestlers or bouncers for nightclubs.

In a news article that I’ve read, the Gurgaon which is dubbed as the ‘Millennium City’ has a prison nightclubs Shangri-La of cheap booze which gyrates young women and pumps Punjabi pop and has become an ambition for all men in the town. But before they can be able to enter the said ‘paradise’, they have to gain more muscles.

It’s strange but these men dreaming to become bouncers in different nightclubs came from the same village Asola-Fatehpur Beri, and they share a common surname Tanwar.

These men does a lot of exercise and push-ups to train their traditional skills, which are very important as a bouncer, who worked unarmed.

And when they’re not outdoors, they used to train themselves inside the Asola’s gymnasium where they spend hours a day sweating and heaving for their muscles.

According to the head trainer at the local wrestling school (akhada) of Asola, Vijay Tanwar, there is not a single boy who does not go to the gym in their village.

‘All boys exercise. They are very careful towards their body. No one drinks and no-one consumes tobacco.’ Vijay said.

It is reported that more than 200 men from these villages work on the doors of the pubs, bars and nightclubs of the national capital, act as bodyguards to local dignitaries, or secure private colleges, hospitals and upmarket hotels.

For these men, their bodies are their livelihoods, and no matter how difficult their training is, it’s worth the time and energy wasted.
