Poison, and any kind of toxin is very harmful to human and animals; apparently, because of it, many lives have been taken and habitats of people and animals are left out. Romanian village Geamana is one of those. Because of the contamination brought by the chemicals resulting from copper extraction by a state-owned copper mine by year 1970’s, the once beautiful village was intoxicated.
Geamana is now covered by water tainted with cyanide and other chemicals, for not to let the peoples living there be in danger, the government forced the inhabitants to move out. The village was now serve as a kind of catch-basin for the mine’s contaminated sludge to flow into, and what was left was the tower of the submerged church and a few houses…
