Maternal instinct is the natural tendency in which a mother has to behave or react in a particular way around her child or children. When you become a mother, a connection between you and your child is built that you instantly know and feel what your baby needs – and our canid friends are not an exemption to this.
Isabella, a gorgeous golden retriever from the Safari Zoological Park in Caney, KS just had her babies. But the first time mom is not only a loving mother to her newborns but also to three other pups who were rejected by their mothers. And what’s more interesting is, the adopted babies were not dogs or even a member of the canid family. They are beautiful white tiger cubs; dog’s mortal enemy ever since.
According to Director Tom Harvey, the mother of the three little tiger cubs is a rescue cat they have brought in from Indiana.
She has never been a good mother to her babies as she began neglecting them the first day they were born.
But thanks to Isabella who came in to rescue. When the pups are placed on her side, she automatically starts nursing them.
She doesn’t mind whether the pups are of her own or of the enemy. As long as they need her, she’s there to be their mother.
She’s so generous to provide them with her milk and even willing enough to clean them.
No wonder, Isabella is such a very good mother expressing a motherly instinct.
And when the work is all done, Isabella leaves the pups satisfied with food and filled with love.
