At times when we are feeling down, we long for a bear hug. But what if a real-life bear comes in to the rescue?
In an Indian village of Lakhpada, a stray black bear came in following a sheep and unsure of where to go. The Kisan family spotted him and of killing or shooing the wild beast away, they took him in, and that’s when a beautiful friendship was formed.
This is Budu, the 1 and a half year old cuddly little bear adopted by the Kisan family.
They named him Budu because sometimes when he did not want to move, he would just sit still, joking that he was in a meditative state like a Buddha and lets himself be lifted by Ghasiram Kisan and his son.
Budu is so loved by the family that even he’s a little bit bigger than other family pets, he still fits in.
He enjoys playing game of belly rubbing with Juli Kisan.
And sometimes gets a glamorous beauty treatments too.
But time has come that Budu needed to be returned to the wild by forest officials. And though Budu’s human interaction is just brief, the affection he shared with his human family, will surely evoke much appreciation from those who themselves crave for such bear hugs.
