There’s nothing that could be more appetizing than this culinary pair – milk and cookies. They are a perfect match, that’s why pastry chef Dominique Ansel decided to create something new that would make this pair standout among others – the Chocolate Cookie Milk Shots.
Chef Ansel, the baker behind the blockbuster doughnut-croissant hybrid popularly known as Cronut, put a little twist to the way people eat cookies and milk. He created something beautiful out of the usual cookies and that is the edible chocolate chip cookie dough shaped into shot glass… … and filled with vanilla-infused milk. You might think the cookie shot glass with milk would make it soggy. But Ansel made sure that this won’t happen. The secret is a heat-resistant glaze that coats the inside of the shot… … while keeping the rest of the cookie chewy and the whole thing delicious. The most effective eating strategy seems to be alternately sipping the milk, then nibbling down the cookie cup as the milk level lowers. An image of this new creation went online early this month and sweet monsters have been staring hungrily at their computer screens and salivated like rabid dogs. These delicious treats were presented by Ansel at SXSW party in Austin, Texas drawing a line that stretched for three blocks and it is now included in the regular menu item at his lovely posh New York bakery.
