Among the many wonders of the world, obviously, different kinds of bodies of water such as waterfall is included. Most waterfalls existing in this world are found on mountains and cliffs, but there’s this one waterfall which unbelievably found inside an ocean- the Mauritius island waterfall.
Mauritius island can be found in the Indian Ocean about 2,000 kilometres (1,200 mi) off the southeast coast of the African continent, near the two islands Madagascar and Mozambique. As history recalls, it was first discovered by the Arabs in 975 AD, then by the Portuguese between 1507 and 1513; but then later on, it became a republic.
Many believed that Mauritius island hid an underwater waterfall, yet as Science explained it, the underwater waterfall can’t be happen, and just the optical illusion created by sand washed into patterns that make it appear as an underwater waterfall as seen above the sky.
Though it wasn’t really an underwater waterfall, Mauritius island’s stunning beauty can always bewitch everyone who sees it.
