We are sometimes quick to judge what we perceive and end up with wrong interpretations when we get to know the story behind it. When I first saw this photo, I thought it was just some still shots of a usual city street, but then when I got to read and realize what really it is, I was surprised and felt my heart melt. The city of Warsaw looks like any other normal town, but when the siren sounded a bizarre moment happened when the people of the entire city are freezing all at the same time – it would surely leave you baffled. Once a year, every August 1st, the people of Warsaw in Poland pay tribute to the heroes who for for their freedom during the Warsaw Uprising in 1994. When the sirens let our a long and mournful sound, all the people and the traffic on the street freezes for a minute of silence. The Warsaw Uprising was the biggest revolt against German Nazis which took over 200,000 lives and this year, Warsaw commemorated the 70th anniversary of the remarkable event.
