You’ll Think They’re Just Digging A Hole. But When You Know What They’re Up To, You’ll Drop Your Jaw. Whew! Is It Real?

We all see and identifies ants as a tiny insects that loves to eat sweet food. They always work to have food in preparation for rainy days to come. They don’t harm us, but then, their simple bite can make us feel hurt for a while. After a couple of seconds, this will just heal.

But then, when you see this video from the documentary of ants, you’ll really wonder if how this could be possible. It’s actually a supers shocking thing, so hard to believe.

In this video, a group of people excavated a giant ant colony that no one would even imagine that it could be that big. It is actually pumped with full concrete. After which the whole giant colony was revealed. On the first look, it is just a normal ant hill. But then, all you thoughts will really change after you see this.

The team just started in a small hole and little by little they begin to see the whole structure of the giant ant hill. As you see it, you can see that it’s designed by an architect. But actually it is not. You’ll then wonder on how many ants are living in this ant hill. Perhaps, they are even more as the number of humans all over the world.

With this, I can also say that ants can somehow be considered as one of the best architects in the world. It’s really amazing, unexpected.

      • If they were Fire Ants or Green Ants they deserve it, as do some other nasty or destructive ants. Not all ants are harmless. Sometimes you have to know all about an enemy in order to defeat it, or to know if it has more beneficial properties than disadvantageous ones e.g ants live in dirt with billions of germs, so what do they do to survive them?

  1. I have nothing against discovery, but we should also understand that ants, like us, have lives. Drowning them with cement just to study their habitats was very inhumane. We are not superior being, we have no right to kill. Yes, you might say, they were just ants. But then, who are we to sentence them to death? They were just minding their business, may be it wouldn’t hurt if we mind our own; otherwise, we are willing to end up like them in the future. This is just my opinion though.

  2. Why are people bashing on this? Yes, they may have killed the ants in the process of their scientific project but the conclusions was much more astonishing. It was a sacrifice the ants have to take in order to gain more knowledge contributing to Science. This is not plainly stupid. Humans should not be called barbaric just because they get out of their shell to find something new. There are dozens more anthills in the world and as rude as it is to say, the ants killed here are nothing to the ants over the world. It’s better to say that everything done here is for the betterment of Science and for satisfying Humans’ unending curiosity. Come on, don’t tell me you never wondered how anthills came to be. It’s a matter of perspective. If the ants were never killed how will the questions be answered? Some things can’t be helped.

*now, this is barbaric. It’s just saying that there are billions of people in the world, what’s there if we kill a community?
