It’s been almost decades after the country of Korea was divided- the North Korea and South Korea. Right after this division, as what the records of history says, conflicts began to arise between the two Koreas. War, education, military aspect, rivalry in sports.. everything that can make them hate each other and tear them apart.
I have never been to Korea (someday I will, hopefully) so I don’t exactly know how to compare the two, but German photographer Dieter Leistner had a chance and was given permission to photograph public spaces in Pyongyang, North Korea last year 2006. And after few years later, he then visited Seoul, South Korea, and took similar photos he took in the North Korea.
The images below clearly depicts how life in the 2 Koreas differ. Take a look and speak for yourself.
