Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti demonstrate on YouTube how to use the International Space Station toilet and according to her, human wastes are being disposed prior to the vacuum air pressure on the apparatus they use while urinating and pooping. She noted that urine is being processed so that it can be used as drinking water.
