1. Pregnancy tests used to use live frogs
Up until the 1960s, doctors used to use live frogs as pregnancy tests. They would inject the hopeful mother’s urine into an African clawed frog and if it ovulated within 12 hours, it signaled that the woman was pregnant

In fact, 160 decibels of sound will cause you to go deaf and 200 decibels (3x higher than a fire alarm) can actually rupture your lung

If you could drive upwards at 60mph (95 km/h), it would only take you about an hour to get into space
4. A single lightning bolt contains enough energy to toast 100,000 pieces of bread
5. A fart weights 0.0371 grams

It’s because baby dinosaurs look very different from their parents and go through dramatic changes during “dino-puberty”
12. Electric eels are five times more powerful than an electrical outlet
When threatened or attacking their prey, eels can admit a burst of at least 600 volts
13. If you eat a polar bear liver, you will die
Humans can’t handle more than 10,000 IU, while a polar bear’s liver can be between 24,000 and 35,000 per gram
14. The average toilet seat is cleaner than your average toothbrush
When you leave your toothbrush out on the sink, it gets showered with fecal matter and dead skin cells
15. A typical microwave uses more electricity keeping the clock running than it does heating food
Even though heating food requires more than 100 times as much power running the rock, most microwaves are idle more than 99% of the time
16. Space is smelly
Space is believed to smell like a combination of barbecued meat, hot metal, and gasoline
