This Is Just A Photo Of Man Mowing The Lawn. But The Reason Behind His Action Means So Much More!

Sometimes, it’s the little things in life that make a big difference – and it’s more often than not the simplest form of a person’s act of kindness.

Firefighters are one of the persons we consider as heroes because they’re the first ones we call when urgent situations arise. There are expected to act according to what they are obliged to do. But a group of firefighters from Baystown, Texas are gaining international attention for going beyond their call of duty.

Baystown, Texas Station 4 fire department received a 911 call from a woman saying his husband John McCormick suffered a heart attack while mowing their lawn. The firefighters and EMT’s immediately responded and rushed the man to the hospital. But their act of heroism didn’t just stop there – they decided that the job was not yet over. Instead of going back to the station, they returned to McCormick’s house and picked up where John had left off.

It just melts my heart to know that there are still people who are this kind. Thanks to this observant neighbor with a camera ready to snap a photo of Blake Steffenaur finishing the work. They also padlocked the unlocked garage, placed the key in the mailbox, and left a note expressing their sympathy.
