We humans and all animals around us deserve freedom- freedom that allows us to grow in purpose of God’s will. Even right before we’re born into this world, He initially grants us this right; freedom of speech, actions, and also the freedom to live free.
But Earth seems like not a nice place to practice freedom and get happy whatever the cost. There’s so much pain, hatred, danger and violence happening and animals are the most subject to it. We may deny it, but we can’t let go the fact that we humans are vicious and fierce creatures causing these animals abused.
We’re selfish beings (exceptions for some) who love to inject pain from other creations thinking that it would benefit us but it will never have nor did. It’s just too shameful to think when God entrusted His other creations yet we keep on neglecting and killing them.
There have been so many instances of animals getting beaten by humans but luckily some escaped and been rescued by caring hands of various animals organizations. Below are just some of the animals before who suffered from mistreatment but are now living happily after being rescued.

BEFORE: She was found with half a face.
AFTER: With care and surgery, she is all healed.
2. Bean
BEFORE: Bean needed intense physical therapy and care to regain strength
AFTER: Look at him now.
3. Valediction
BEFORE: He was found in a stable at Churchill Downs where his life was miserable.
AFTER: He is now living on a farm in Virginia.
4. Butterscotch
BEFORE: She was among 200 chickens to be saved from a slaughterhouse. She had a blinding tumor in one of her eyes that was caused by a horrible infection.
AFTER: The tumor was removed, and she finally regained her sight.
5. Elliot
BEFORE: He was rescued after being found on the streets of Brooklyn with a tag labeled “MEAT” on his ear.
AFTER: Turns out he escaped from a live animal market and eventually got the strength he needed to be happy again!
6. Lila
BEFORE: Lila goat was found sick and dying on a pile of dead animals in a butchering facility. She was ridden with parasites and couldn’t walk for weeks.
AFTER: After a blood transfusion from Cornell University Hospital for Animals, Lila now lives with her boyfriend Elliot, happily and healthily.
7. Peter
BEFORE: He was horribly mistreated and neglected and was found on a farm by PETA.
AFTER: The farm he was found in is facing animal cruelty charges and Peter is much happier in a cow sanctuary after being purchased with a few others by PETA.
8. Sunder
BEFORE: Sunder was rescued from being chained up in the dark depths of a temple in India.
AFTER: He now happily lives in Bannerghatta Biological Park.
9. Riley
BEFORE: He was saved from a live auction in New York. He was too sick to even stand.
AFTER: He’s now happy and healthy, even though he still tilts his head to the side due to the trauma.
10. Angie
BEFORE: She was found in an egg farm where she was rescued from a pit of manure.
AFTER: She lives on the Farm Sanctuary now and is healthy.
11. Opie
BEFORE: Opie was being neglected by her owner.
AFTER: Look at her now.
12. Ben
BEFORE: Ben spent six years in a kennel in a roadside zoo in North Carolina, until he was rescued by PETA and the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
AFTER: Now, he’s happy and lives in the Performing Animal Welfare Society.
13. Raju
BEFORE: Raju was chained and beaten for almost 50 years.
AFTER: Look how happy and contented he is now!
