We all know that we are living in a fast-paced world that oftentimes, we miss to see the beauty of wonderful things that surround us. Thankfully, there are these people who carry their cameras with them 24/7, take time to stop, look at the world differently, and capture marvelous images of scenes that most of us failed to appreciate.
And to encourage these photographers to explore the world with their cameras, B&H Photo Video and Pro-Audio (known to be as the Professional’s Source) has teamed up with Wilderness Safaris (a conservation organization and ecotourism company) and South African Airways (Africa’s most awarded airline) to run a photo competition B&H Wilderness Photo Competition.
The competition has ended a few months ago and B&H was pleased to announce the winners and they are the following:
The Grand Prize Winner:
Jamie MacArthur from United Kingdom
People’s Choice Popular Vote Award:
Charles Chessler from The United States
Semi Finalists:
Adam Jurgilewicz from Poland
Cary Maures from The United States
Christopher Schlaf from The United States
Giorgia Karampatou from Abu Dhabi
Jeffrey Kirkpatrick from Australia
Octavio Aburto from Mexico
Petar Sabol from Croatias
Peter Alinson from The United States
This competition does not only inspire photographers to take stunning photos but also asks them to connect with nature. It aims to bring awareness of preserving our wildlife treasures and understanding that without conservation, what has been captured by the lenses of these cameras has a greater chance of not being photographed by the succeeding generation.
Share this to others and let us all help in any way we can to protect our world!
