Bacteria are said to be the first life forms on Earth, and everywhere we’ll be, they’re they are. Though they’re tiny microorganisms, they can absolutely ruin everything, since they can be found anywhere.
One of the many places they can be present is on your daily-bring gadget: cellphone. It’s no wonder, your hand which is considered as one of the dirtiest part on your body holds it from the moment you wake up till the sun close the day.
And to prove that, the University of Surrey in England did an experiment to know of how many bacteria are present in a cellphone. Here’s what they found:
To take the pictures, scientists put their phones in petri dishes with agar, a substance that helps the bacteria grow, and then left them there for a few days.
According to their research in a report from Ryot, most of the bacteria found on the phone were pretty harmless. There was one strain, thought to be deposited on a phone from someone picking their nose,that can cause rashes and food poisoning.
Overall, this is unpleasant.
