It’s every girl’s dream to be asked by her man the question of all questions, “Will you marry me?”
During a recent drill, a firefighter dropped down on his knee not to perform a rescue, but rather staged a tear-jerking proposal.
Greentown, Ohio firefighter, Justin Deierling, surprised his girlfriend, Megan Zahorec, in front of her students and staff at Greentown School, where she is a counselor.
The 27-year-old was under the impression her firefighter boyfriend of six months was there for a fire drill.
Until she saw the sign, which Justin had made, attached to the fire truck which reads ‘Miss Z – will you marry me? I love you, Justin’
And then Justin dropped down on one knee and popped the big question, “Will you marry me?”
She was so excited and surprised; she said she almost passed out before she answered ‘Yes!’
Justin, who proposed on March 19 (exactly six months from the day they met), said he first met Megan while was volunteering for the fire department by passing out water to students at a walk-a-thon.
He confessed he instantly knew she was the one, and vowed to give her a special proposal.
The newly engaged couple is still figuring out a wedding date.
Justin’s brother, Adam Deierling, put together the wonderful engagement video for them. Watch it here:
