Alaska Airlines Delays Their Flight To See This Spectacular Event – You Need To See This

Have you ever experienced a delayed flight? Most people will really wanted that their flight would be delayed due to certain reasons and explanations.

Many people are preferring airplanes as form of transportation because of the ease and the small period of time in travel. Although, it may be a bit pricier than other forms.

When a flight is delayed, the common reasons may be are bad weather, airport traffic, and even some technical difficulties. Most of these valid reasons are done to ensure the safety of the flight, and the passengers as well. So, the next your flight will be delayed, try to make your patience longer.

But, in Alaska, a flight has been delayed to due to really unbelievable reason. As the astronomer named Joe Roa noticed that about a year ago, the Flight 870 will be at would be passing Anchorage to Honolulu wherein the darkest part of the moon’s shadow over the Earth can be seen, “the path of totality”, he then tried to convince the airline company to delay the flight at about 25 minutes to witness an extraordinary view – the total eclipse from above.

He did it because the scheduled flight is about 25 minutes pass the event. Thankfully, his wish was granted. He then ordered a window-seat ticket together with other astronomers and enthusiasts.

According to one of the passengers of the flight, the one who also captured the video below, Mike Kentrianakis, a solar eclipse project manager for the American Astronomical Society.

“It’s an unbelievably accommodating gesture. Not only is Alaska Airlines getting people from Point A to Point B, but they’re willing to give them an exciting flight experience. An airline that’s actually talking to their people – and listening! That’s customer service at its best. It’s become personal.”

“In the few minutes leading up to the total phase – much like ‘curtain time’ at a Broadway show – the light in the cabin will begin to slowly diminish as the waning crescent of the sun is gradually extinguished,” Roa describes the end of the eclipse.
